Is this way out?

こっちが出口？という意味。最初聞いたとき自分の頭の中では出口といえばexitだったのでとっさには意味がわからなかったのを覚えている。

現在シンガポールに出張で滞在中。シンガポールは２００８年には日本を外為金融で抜いていくとWikipediaには書いてある。

中心街を歩いてみると至る所で高層ビルの建築が進んでいる。シンガポールは金融街のオフィススペースが逼迫しているため、埋立工事でスペースを拡張している。昨日の朝刊にはまだビルが建っていないのにStandard Chartered 銀行はオフィススペースを既に押さえているという記事があり、まだまだ伸びていきそうな気配。
